The Playground of Science is a set of scientific activities for the University of Alicante summer school's kids to experience science in a way joyful and entertaining way. We reclaim an interactive and funny science, enabling the kids to enjoy it and participate in this new attrattive experience for them to learn effectively through the science games. One of the main lines of work of the University of Alicante's EDUTIC-ADEI Research Group focuses on the field of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) related to Education. Since 2006, this research group has been working interdisciplinarily, across other thematic lines related to ICTs in higher education. Course dedicated to the explanation of the main concepts and categories of contemporary history in Europe and the Mediterranean world, as well as the analysis of the major social and cultural processes taking place in this period of history in the European and Mediterranean world.
The course aims to bring teachers of Natural and Social Science the teaching methods of the use of inquiry. Here, great ideas of science, key concepts, skills and the required scientific attitudes are studied for correct scientific literacy from childhood. The necessary scientific ideas are analysed to reject or prevent and the use of inquiry is applied in the study of topics deemed relevant by the international scientific community. The course also aims to unite science to mathematics and technology in the tradition of the Fibonacci Project IBSMTE- 7th EU framework, which was active in the period 2010/2013. This is a 6-credit core course in the second year.

The asignatura "Structures of Armed Concrete and Pretensado" treats of the design, calculation, comprobación and construction of the structures realised with structural concrete. It centres fundamentally in those of armed concrete and supports in the Spanish Instruction of Structural Concrete, known like EHE-08. His contents develop the main states limit last and of service and the basic constructive details of the armed of elements of concrete: beams, supports, walls of containment, simple elements of cimentación and regions of discontinuidad. The asignatura includes a brief introduction to the elements isostáticos of concrete pretensado.

The subject is propossed assuming that students know in some depth some programming languages, notably imperative and object-oriented. Its main objective is that students get a broader perspective about programming languages in general. What elements are common to programming languages? What are the features? What are the essential elements and accessories? What languages paradigms or families can be identified? How to design a good programming language? Mastering these contents will be much easier to learn new programming languages, identify their essential features and even be able to design specific languages oriented to specific domains.
The course 'Agile Software Development Methodologies' is taught in the 4th undergraduate year of Software Engineering
Students were facing the problem of software development projects of a certain magnitude in previous courses. They learned to identify their capabilities, to define their data model, and design, develop and test a software solution that successfully meets the specified requirements. They got to know and used some agile methodology such as Scrum.
In this course, students will learn in depth the values, principles and practices underlying agile methodologies. Also they will be taught how to use some tools, frameworks and programming languages with which to perform a quick and flexible development with which to deal successfully with the problem of changing priorities and specifications in the development of a software project. These methodologies will allow them to guide and coordinate the iterative work of a team, in order to obtain a software that meets the needs of end users.
This course, along with other courses of the same itinerary, allows the student to integrate seamlessly into design teams and software development projects, being able to participate in all aspects of the process and even to propose new practices and methodologies those software companies that use traditional tools and methodologies.
Students will be introduced to:
-Basic principles of web application operation and the technologies available for development.
-Creation of HTML and CSS web interfaces, including mobile device peculiarities
At the end of the course, students are supposed to develop a comprehensive client-side web application, accessible via a standard web browser or mobile device. Also, at a basic level, they are to get to know the server-side principles of app development.
